How will the global financial crisis affect people in third world countries?

I know people in North America are worried about how it will affect things like the unemployment rate and the real estate market as well as a multitude of other things, but how will it affect people in developing countries?

For people that are already homeless, living in poverty-stricken areas of the world, will it make much of a difference? Can their situation get any worse?

I find it sad for anyone who is negatively affected by this and hope everyone pulls through :) .
