I’m in Canada and I wanted to apply for a new credit card, but now we’re apparently all in trouble because of this global credit crunch. I’m not too well versed in what this all means, but I keep on hearing about this credit freeze all over the world. So does that mean that the credit card I applied for won’t be approved? I know for a fact that I have great/excellent credit, and I have many assets at the particular bank in question.

Any answers would be appreciated.
